Wissenschaftliches Personal

PhD scholarship (f/m/d) IGSSE grant - Copula based Flight Safety Analyses (CopFly)

The Institute of Flight System Dynamics of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) encompasses a Flight Safety Group, researching in the area of quantifying risks of serious incidents and accidents in aviation. Therefore, predictive analysis methods that combine physically motivated models with largescale analyses of operational flight data are investigated. In collaboration with TUM’s Chair of Applied Mathematical Statistics, we aim to model accident scenarios by combining physically motivated model based approaches with flexible stochastic approaches for data-driven aviation safety analyses. For this interdisciplinary field of research, we are offering a PhD scholarship, granted by TUM’s International Graduate School of Science and Engineering (IGSSE).
